It’s Worse in Altanta Than they Are Telling the Folks
Gang, one of my listeners forwarded these photos of the Atlanta area’s second reservoir, Lake Altoona. I wish to thank Brian for forwarding these to me and point out that this ties in with the article below, Prepetorial #10 quite well. You had best prepare for the unexpected to the best of your ability. The unexpected is happening in North Georgia and the consequences are about to impact several million people.

Thanks to John for posting these drought photos to bring to everyone’s awareness that Lake Lanier is not the only major source of metro Atlanta water that is drying up. The Etowah River that feeds Lake Allatoona is the source of my drinking water. It’s getting worse by the day as we’ve only had less than 1/2″ of rain in December so far. Still the PTB sit on their hands and just hope for a wet winter. Georgia must be proactive in order to ensure sufficient water supplies for the future, not just stand on the steps of the state capital and pray for divine intervention. In the meantime citizens must prepare themselves and not depend on government to bail them out.
Credit for these pictures goes to my co-worker Jim Buie.

Hey John,
Just listening to the tape of you on the radio tonight..
About Atlanta, Notice how nobody is admitting that the US Corp of Engineers ACCIDENTALLY let over 240 billion gallons of water out of lake lanier last june and that’s a serious part of where hot-lanta’s problems are coming from.
Somethings just don’t get made public. Like the Coast Guard LT who violated regs and tried to handle two barges during flood conditions and they got away from him and broke the levy open.

Dear John…those of us who live in NE Georgia close to the NC border consider Atlanta to be part of North Central Georgia, despite what the officials claim. We are, after all, a two-hour drive from that not-so-great metropolis, the residents of which are too ignorant to keep from wasting water…as here in the true NE GA we have watched our gardens roll over and die while the not-so-great metropolis watered their lawns, washed their cars, and used up untold amounts of water in their aquarium…and now
our wells run dry, and even the ignorant may be noticing, albeit too late.

Sir,
Most of North Ga. (where I live) is fine. Only the immediate Atlanta Metro area is affected to any great extent. Collusion between developers and their bought-off politicians have allowed overbuilding which has been exposed by drought. Now, they claim, “all of North Georgia Is in a serious state” in order to cover their um, tracks.

We have friend going to visit parents in Georgia, about 100 miles from Atlanta, not sure where. He said so far their well is fine but the area they live in is bone dry, rain-wise.
Does anybody know about aquafers there? Is it the type of situation that exists in many states where if you drill 100 feet down the water supply is seemingly endless?
Thanks.
