You can smell the panic, not the evergreen of Christmas
The markets are giving every indication that the situation is far worse than they dare put out as public record gang. I’m warning you now that the rot inside the credit markets has not been cleaned up, made transparent nor displayed in full view for the public to ever assess. If you are not a trader, I would be seeking safety immediately. There are so many high risk stories which could bring the financial system to a crashing halt it’s not even funny. We have reports of human to human bird flu transmission in Pakistan. Turkey has entered Northern Iraq to hit PKK targets. Bolivia is on the brink of civil war. And the Federal Reserve has elected to wait until tomorrow to broadcast the results of yesterday’s special auction. I’m not as interested in the interest in the auction as to who participated and who purchased how much. With options expiration upon us, just watch the gyrations and make your final plans for safety now. 2008 will not be a fun year apparently and with the geopolitical threats expanding the catch word for 2008 will be “instability”….more tomorrow morning.

this problem has been pretty obvious for the last three or four years, what with people ‘’gambling'’ on fast rising house prices and using them as an amt for their ‘’necessary toys'’.

John I enjoyed reading you’re daily updates on TBTK forum. You’re not posting
why.
My specialty is economics,markets….risk.I agree with of most of you’re observations….except..for inflation—-DEFLATION will be on everyones lips in 08.When wallstreet see deflation the markets will collapse 30% plus…than on to 5000 DJI….dow drop 75% from its october07 high by end of 2008.—we are already experiencing deflationary depression.we are in very serious trouble TEOTWAWKI kind.
2008 will be vicious….J6P has no clue how much his world and life…is about to
change….Financial Armagedon(I wish I was exagerating).
Keep up the great job john u r doing a great service to so many who at the moment don’t really understand…..US Titanic has hit a huge iceberg and there are no life rafts (I hate typing) she will be going down fast…..FASTER than most bears can ever imagine.

Deflationary depression, unlikely. The previous poster was not living in the real world. The post WW2 inflationary boom is coming to a climatic close between end of 2008 to 2012. It will be the mother of all depression. The Banksters passed the Bankruptcy law in 2005, building detention centers for millions of people (concentration camps a better word) and passing police state laws and are preparing for a MASSIVE dissent.
They trap a whole generation innto ARM mortage debt, credit card debt and other debt. They shipped the jobs overseas and per Former Fed governor Blinder (He heard at the Davos Conference this year by top American CEOs) the American Corporateplutocracy will accelerate our jobs overseas (up to 40 million being shipped within a decade) and increase H1b visa. The dollar is plummeting to new lows, and the Federal debt rising expotentially as interest rates rise and Federal tx revenue decline (as jobs leave overseas and WHEN the market begins to collapse). Everything is going up, but wages and jobs are declining. The middle and lower clasee are in a financial vise. Checkmate. They are trying to keep the illusion until election but somehow (like 2000) the system is collapsing. This fraud subprime debt crisis (not spreading to delinquient car and credit debt) are rising beyond president. The Fed whores, ill concern for the population, is printing money like mad to bail out their master, The Big Banks. This time it will not work. the dollar mini rally will stop and all these hidden massive subprime debt with rising foreclosures can no longer be contained or stop. the US Bank fraud( where are the criminal charges) like a computer virus, has spread all over the world. Inflation by next years will be 20% and rising.

We lost our awareness somewhere along the line. We let lesser men than ourselves takeover and run our country when it was our patriotic responsibility to gun them down a long long time ago… like in the 80’s. Anyway, they have run this system / great country to the ground. I figure We have lost the first round with 12 more rounds / gun fights to go ….. So what’s left that is decent for us to do if there is a problem or *sigh* a collapse *tears* ?
Well, do what is right, Be a Robin hood, fight the good fight (Firearms included) and be aware your life will have meaning (and greater chance for success) if you help as many innocent bona fide Americans survive the shortages… . Do it because such thinking will allow you to survive better as well…. Get ready for hunting foraging and build up your contacts on the reservations. supplies supplies supplies
