Tinkle Down Economics
December 21, 2009
By John Galt
In the days of old, the idea of the Reagan Revolution and trickle down economics provided hope for the super capitalists of America where the theory of the Federal Reserve system could be applied to the basic structure or tenants of the American economy. The idea being that money created with moderate monetary inflation would enable the banks and capitalists to expand the system exponentially and the norms of supply and demand with a check against the business cycle would create a stable environment where responsible corporations would create an economic system that enabled an unending stream of profits to the major participants regardless of cyclical deviations. This stream of unending wealth would seep down to the lower strata of society as a result of this ultimate plan but sadly it failed to account for deviants in our society, the political elites.
Welcome to the modern era. Where the decisions on which companies are too small to succeed or too big to fail are determined by individuals who have never signed the front of a check. Where professors who are expert only in theory and not actual execution decide monetary policy and economic reality yet they have never to ever even delivered a pizza in their lives much less worried about the decisions many make today like “Spaghetti-O’s” or “Chef Boyardee Ravioli” for dinner tonight, of course after working two jobs and enjoying very little for lunch and breakfast. Lastly, and sadly, and where dictates of politicians of greed are honored as saints like the former KKK member/Senator from West Virginia while capitalists are admonished for daring to make profits in times like these by the Marxist ilk in charge now.
Welcome to the flip side of trickle down economics, tinkle down economics.
The modern era where hard work and innovation rarely determine winner and losers. The modern era where the leaders of our “new” system tell us that no, they are not urinating on our heads but in fact that the rain you are receiving is beneficial and will lead to massive beneficial but equal profits for all, so quit complaining if it smells like piss and drink up to the fruits of the new, economic and social justice system we are embarking upon. The average American is oblivious to the danger and that is why the risks for capitalists and individuals is now at a level so high, so great, and so extreme that have never been endured by our society. We spend one hundred years chuckling and snickering like Japanese school girls while Italy, Germany, Russia, Albania, Cuba and other nations veered into systems based on centralize planning. All the while we elected the very agents of such change like Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, George W. Bush and Barrack Hussein Obama that not only obliged to allow the banks to override the supremacy of the United States Constitution but to use excuses like “we had to abandon free-market principles to save the free-market system” and other such nonsense.
Welcome to the newspeak and get ready for worse. The recent actions of this current administration are not designed to save the economic system nor promote economic expansion. I’ve heard the excuses and promotions for the “new new normal” as promoted by those who voted enthusiastically for Obama and those who used the pathetic excuse of voting for him as a crutch for their inability to admit they were intellectually lazy slobs. The almost assured implementation of the new health care infrastructure along with an Executive Branch sustained effort via the bureaucratic route if Congress fails to play ball for the “global climate change” initiatives will assuredly create flat growth at best for the economy as a whole, a complete collapse of the lower 30-40% of the business community at worst.
Meanwhile many of your neighbors, those too inept or slothful to be willing to consider the implications when they hear that they are “entitled” to X, Y, or Z thanks to the creative destruction of capital via the edicts of the District, will continue to rant, cheer and praise the new normal as that is what justice is all about in their minds. Those evil capitalists should not make more than me even though they work twice as hard. The capitalists should not profit from others even though they created the product or service and others were too stupid, lazy or enslaved to create anything beyond carbon emissions after a meal at Taco Bell. Justice is, what justice does, even it it means everyone in our society experiences the yellow forehead syndrome.
Too bad it will take the ultimate bankruptcy of our great nation and the economic system for them to realize that the yellow forehead is like the yellow snow; something to be avoided at all costs. Enjoy your rain America. When it slows to a drizzle, I would suggest waking up and realizing that you have been consuming the poison of history, a toxic mixture of entitlement and theft courtesy of your neighbor’s willingness to trade freedom for security.
We, as a society, deserve neither.
Meanwhile, look yourself in the mirror and then laugh at your neighbors who look adoringly up at the television screen or the skies with their eyes shut and mouths wide open enduring the yellow drizzle eminating from above. The same fools who think grape Kool-Aid taste like wine probably enjoy the role of fire hydrant for their pet Chihuahua Pookie also.
