California is Toast
by John Galt
March 7, 2010
Read it for yourself. This is a posting from my thread on the awesome day of fruits and nuts marching on March 4th:
March 4th Day of Action: A Big Nothingburger But….
Normally I would not go to the trouble of putting an individual posting up for fun, mocking and games from a thread. But this assmunch’s reply deserved highlighting and further proof that the hot key or ability to understand the phrase “spell check” is beyond the majority of California college students.
Enjoy:

16:36I am a California college student and unlike the lady in the black leather trenchcoat, whose probably not, i feel the budget cuts.
We have 40 people in our academic classes at my community college, even taking role takes 10 minutes out of our class time.
We arent really going to be taking many tests this semester -its too expensive to make copies so they wont do it, the teachers didnt give us syllabi this semester so i dont really have a guideline to reference.
50% of my income comes from the financial aid i recieve in school and while the 6,000 dollars they give me helps, i don’t eat food until i come home from school at 6, and i didnt pay for the subway for the first two months of school because i had no money.Teachers are being cut, they arent being given offices, which they use to assist students with work.
And out of all of this, my books still cost 250 dollars this semester.
Now, this is only a little sliver of what its like.
Dont forget that they are cutting summer school, arts programs, music programs.
Core classes are compromised and if the government doesnt figure something out we are going to end up with a generation of partially educated people.
Oh, and just because you smoked weed all through highschool and slept all the time doesnt mean that everyone else who smokes is like that.
i have a 3.8 ***ker.Next month when you get bored, why dont you take a look at the pictures from the Nazi Rally in downtown LA, maybe youll like their outfits. Youll see me on the other side of the street with the people.
If you dont want to show your support for people, go be by your self.
I have bolded and put into italics just some of the classic lines and demonstrations that English is indeed the second language of the state of California. FYI, this originated from an IP that I have confirmed is from pasadena.edu.
California this is a perfect demonstration of your tax dollars at work.
Californians, you bastards are toast. Flee while you can.

John,
I am afraid that this “student” and his writing is indicative of students throughout the country and not just CA. The CA students are just more vocal about their illiteracy and selfishness.
Currently we are RVing in a campground just outside of Sacramento and I can see that things are not well here. Businesses are shuttered, and the ones that are still hanging on are in dire straits. Not to mention “Furlough Fridays” for the state government workers. There has been road construction on Highway 50 since we got here last January, but we have never seen a single construction worker, just signs saying the work was courtesy of the Stimulus Plan and Obama.
To give you an example, I enjoy a good cigar from time to time and the brand I smoke is hard to find. I’ve had one shop owner follow me out to my car swearing he would order my brand if I would come back. He even gave me a date of when to expect the shipment to be in. I’ve never seen that before except when you go bargaining in some Mexican store south of the border.
Many of the discount stores that are still open have large crowds, especially Costco and the supermarkets. But, if you observe what they is in their baskets when they check out, it is a small amount and only the necessary items.
We have travelled across these United States and everywhere is hurting, but Florida and California seem to be the worse. California is still putting on a “wealthy” and “affluent” face in this area, but you can’t hide the shuttered stores and the lack of consumerism.
This is my first time in CA and we will be returning here in the fall. I will let you know or describe it on my blog the changes I see.
Be safe and well my fellow Floridan.

Check out my blog entry on the CA San Joaquin valley we drove through when we first got here. The pictures just can’t really describe the scene.

So be it!
.
And just when did a college education become the government’s problem? Your education is your responsibility, no one else’s! If you have a bitch, maybe you should ask mom & dad why they aren’t paying for your college. Maybe mom & dad can’t afford to pay for your education! If that is the case, grow up!!!
.
I raised 4 children; the youngest is approaching 30 years old now. None of my children went to college, either at my cost or at the governments cost! But to be sure, some of them wanted to go to college and I’d have liked to have paid their way, but couldn’t afford it. But those who have and are going to college either have, or are paying their own way – not demanding the government give them a right that doesn’t exist!
.
And so, what the hell gives you the right to think that you have the right to a college education? If you really want a college education, maybe you need to take a job and pay for your own college. If I can’t send my own children to college, why in hell would I want to send a whinny-ass brat like you in their stead?
.
Personally, I don’t give a crap about you only being partially educated! You are about to meet the real world –> head-on and you had better get used to not getting what you want. Life isn’t all winners, as your Socialist beliefs portray. No, life is real, with winners and losers. If you win in life, GREAT! If you lose in life??? SO WHAT?
The fact is, it’s your life! It’s up to you to make something of it – IT’S NOT THE GOVERNMENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAND YOU A COLLEGE EDUCATION AT MY EXPENSE!!!
You can sit there whining and crying about how bad it is out there in the “Big Bad World” or you can grow a spine and make something of yourself under your own initiate!
.
Personally, I think that California is a failing state because it has been hand-feeding illegal aliens and whiners and leaches for far, far too long!
.
I am of the mind that California isn’t “too big to fail!” No, California has already failed and it’s about time it slides off into the Pacific Ocean!
So folks, I’m sorry. But this is the exact type of thing that is running this country right into the ground – to its last days.

One small correction to Guerrera; we WILL not end up with a generation of half educated PEOPLE, we HAVE ended up with a generation of half educated SHEEPLE! When TSHTF, these are the ones you will have to fear. Glad I left Kalifornia in 1987 and have never gone back.

I lived in L.A. from about 1973 to 1978. I was so glad to get out of there. I was so glad to move from the city where the mean time between a gun shot was about 30 minutes, once the sun set.
.
And too, it seemed like the sirens were nearly constant. And if it wasn’t the sirens, it was the horns. I mean, “One Thousand One, One Thousand Horn Beep, One Thousand One, One Thousand Horn, etc…” If you made it to count 3, it was a rarity. I can only imagine that today, there is a constant baseline of sirens, vehicle horns and gun fire.
.
California id a larger cesspool then even New York. Oh, wait a minute… That concept could be challenged, I suppose.
.
Anyway, I’ve not lived in a city, since I left L.A. I won’t live in any city.
.
But I suppose it really won’t make much difference, in the near future. The California critters are about to exodus from the catastrophe they, themselves voted into existence, or did nothing to prevent!

John,
This is the rude awakening that is coming that you and others have warned millions of people about. Its going to get worse, a hell of lot worse before it gets better.
.
This student is now finding out what real college life is all about. Its a period of time in your life that you have to get things done on a very limited budget. How you come out of it depends entirely upon yourself. In case you havent been told, this is the time in your life that you are to break free from the bonds of your parents and learn to support yourself.
.
This person did not tell us if they were a male or female. I would love to ask this person if they get their nails done? How much do they spend on hair care products? Do they use the expensive ZIT(pimples)medications? Are they paying for their Internet Service or using the schools? Do they have the most expensive cable service for watching TV? How much did they spend on going to concerts in the last year? How much do they spend weekly on alcohol? Have they paid for a Boob-job? How many minutes a month do you spend talking on your cell phone?
.
This student needs to cut out the trips to the Nail Shop, learn to do it yourself. Go buy the generic soap to wash your hair, no one will notice if you dont tell them. Get rid of the Pro-Active medication and use plain old toothpaste to get rid of your zits, believe me, it works. Drop your internet service and go to the public library. Use the internet to get your school work done and stop wasting your time on Facebook chatting with all of your friends because you dont have the time to be doing it. Stop trying to live like Kim “BIG (_Y_)” Kardashian and her IDIOT family, you will only get more and more depressed. Save your money from not going to concerts and buy yourself something that lasts more than 90 minutes. Not drinking as much alcohol will save hundreds of dollars in extra make-up costs as you try to pretty yourself up when you have a massive hangover. Forget about a Boob-job too. It will get you a husband that will leave you the minute he sees a better pair. Believe me when I say that there are guys out in the real world that dont like “pumped up” woman, its not natural. Besides, what are you going to do when you are 80 years old and they still look like an 18 years old? Cut out sending messages and photo’s over the cell phone using the Internet. You cant afford it.
.
Why cant you get your class assignments off the Internet? Dont you have E-Mail? Why cant your leftard professors see doing this instead of complaining about all of the cutbacks? Why are you are fighting their battles for them? Are they willing to take a pay cut so you can continue to go to school? You could take tests off of the computer too or is your leftist professors too “STUPID” to think that one out? You envoirnmental wack jobs want to save the world, but you cant fiqure out a way to end the needless streams of paper wasted in college classes everyday.
.
Dont even think of dropping out of school and popping out babies for a monthly welfare check. That gravy train is getting ready to end in a bad way in the not too distant future for everyone. If you choose to do it you will have many more problems than you have now.
.
Now, you need to go be by yourself and fiqure all of this out. When you see things for what they really are, you may come back and thank all of us for telling you the REAL TRUTH about life and not blowing smoke up your (_Y_) as your STUPID LEFTARD PROFESSORS ARE DOING.

What’s his complain, “partially educated”, hi is already an ignorant, not knowing how to write in english is just the icing on the cake. Maybe he thinks California should go back to Mexico, they have such a great education system LOL.
We made more progress when our nations education system was not controlled by the liberals, the minute they took it, it went to h*ll. Now instead of actually teaching our kids, we tell how important it is to understand our diferences, and take care of the planet, and bla bla. Our history, learning english, and the rest, is not important. And for the record, Guerrera in case you are reading this, I am of hispanic descent also, I came to this country already a grown man, more than 16 years ago from Cuba. I was 28, and the first thing I did was to learn english and learn our history (I am a proud AMERICAN now), that’s respect for the country that adopted me, and I can tell you a thing or two about living without freedom. Yes there might be racist people in our nation, but for the most part they are not. And if you want to talk about racism, why don’t you talk about the organization “La Raza”, that’s as racist as it gets. I am going to stop writing now because this makes me so mad that I can’t even coordinate my ideas.
John, thank you for allowing us to post and read your site.
God Bless the USA, and I only hope we can survive what’s coming, for the future of our children and for all the ones that fought so we can have what we have today.

Okay gentlemen, enough of the immature name calling. Let me give you a report from the front lines in California.
Here’s the examples of fascism that are TRUE stories in California. If you’re part of the state, you win. If you’re a private guy, you’re hosed.
1. State government office called the DLSE has been harassing businesses up and down California for the past ten years. The guy in Texas who flew his plane into the IRS building was probably harassed by this office when he had his business in Cali. We sent our people into the office to observe. The local DLSE office hands out paperwork to disgruntled employees so that they can complain about the business owner not paying. We observed a half dozen people picking up papers to complain about this business or that business not paying whatever the EX-employees wanted.
The current state of law in California is that if you are an employee, you can quit the business and then make up faked numbers. Then, you file with DLSE your claim and the DLSE hauls the employer into their office to complain. I am personally aware of four medical offices where they were crushed by the state complaints.
2. Local Law Enforcement Officers “retire” and get full pensions or disability payments after a few years of work.
3. Local city managers and political hacks on the county level do the same thing.
4. State assembly people having sex with lobbyists on state property and on state time. No enforcement occurs (see Mike Duvall and Jeff Miller)
5. State money goes through the Health/Human Services department to hospitals. One children’s hospitsl (Children’s Hospital of Orange County) charges over $8500 for one bed for one night. Another hospital across the street (St. Joseph’s) charges $3300 for one bed on one night. San Diego Children’s charges around $3500 on one night for one bed. Do the math… if you average the numbers per bed in each facility, you’re looking at $200,000,000.00 per year per facility at tax payer expense.
6. HMO managed care dollars flow from state of California to county to insurers to HMO medical groups. At the “insurer” and “medical group” steps, the tax payer funds can be fluxed outside the USA to funds in the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, etc.
7. Daniel Peng or Pang (can’t recall) dies in Newport Beach after being featured by the Wall Street Journal’s investigative reporting department. PEM Group was related to a hospital called Western Medical Center. OC Register has been reporting on this scandal.
8. San Diego Alvarado Medical Center was hit with sanctions due to illegal physician – hospital contracts and under the table deals. The enforcement attorneys were the Federal DOJ attorneys that Bush/Cheney/Gonzales later fired!
9. Riverside County hospital had convictions for physician and hospital illegal contracts.
10. UCSF – Stanford attempted merger in order to create a monopoly, it failed. UC San Diego and Scripps try a merger and it works. UC Irvine and CHOC do a merger and it also works. What’s the difference? I have no idea, other than who you bribe.
11. 1 in 4 mortgages under water … 1 in 10 mortgages in default or foreclosure … anyone seen an Option ARM lately?

Good Lord – to think that this person is one of the finer examples of the People’s Republic of California’s public education system! Sadly, there is no fleeing this ungodly, tail-wagging-dog state for many of us – at least not if we want to take more than the clothes on our backs with us when we leave (and if we did leave with just those paltry possessions, we’d become a burden to the decent, hard-working folks in a less downtrodden state).
Suggesting workable solutions to the problems in California is simple, as those solutions are fairly obvious (cut taxes, drastically cut spending, eliminate state employee unions and entire state government agencies, and remove the illegal population from the premises – confiscating all of their ill-gotten gains [all property and monies] while escorting them out). Getting the solutions implemented would, however, take something akin to an act of God.

Hi, John, this is alexsword from Russia. A little comment concerning California. Let’s forget about money and think of economy in terms of physical process. They have a REAL problem in these terms because many money were spent on “consumption” instead of investments into basic infrastructure and now California is not able to support even its current population density.
Example of infrastucture degradation:
SACRAMENTO — The Department of Water Resources (DWR) today increased anticipated 2010 State Water Project deliveries to California’s water contractors from five to 15 percent of requests. If this amount remains unchanged by the final
allocation in late spring this will be the lowest allocation percentage in the project’s history.

I’m glad I left California many moons ago. My Dad was always PO’d about “what they did to his state”. The education system went downhill in the 70′s and crashed in the 80′s. Alot of my highschool buddies stayed and became teachers and healthcare workers. They are some mighty depressed people. So sad.
The mantra spouted by that one student has been chanted here in Iowa by the big city schoolboards and how they must cut the arts, PE, and other programs. Notice how the very expensive sports programs stay intact, but the core competency programs will always take a hit.
I know that science has not been a hard fast requirement for some time now. Several years ago, my wife received her AA and not one science class. Do you wonder why the people don’t question stupid government science like “Global Warming”? Can’t question what you don’t know and understand.
Keep up the good work and Give ‘Em Hell.

BTW Mr. Galt, I miss the ‘Dollar Collapse’ stories and how the anticipation kept me reading.
So as a born and raised Californian (now 39yrs), I have to agree with the many points of view in the comments section. The ignorant perception of the student in the posting is typical concerning the frame of mind most ‘liberal’ forms of education have on young impressionable minds with no solid background in critical thinking, science or better yet the classical arts…to realize the wool has been pooled over their eyes, not until it’s too late.
History is there to learn from, and ever since my education ended with a master’s, I realize the cost and quality of my own education is not worth the fiat (ass-wiping) paper I exchanged for it. Nonetheless I am a recent ‘unemployed’ community college instructor (PT) who went against the admin/dean who thought it best to short-change the student body; I spoke against it and here I am unemployed. I knew the consequences of my actions and considering the dire straits of the quality of educations these students receive and the poor resources faulty have, is it any surprise where we are? Those with eyes saw this coming a long time back, and many of you left California to recreate your lives in other states.
Now I too am leaving, been preparing for a couple years now… I wanted to stay and fight for when TSHTF, but I realize I would be surrounded not only by bureaucratic corruption and socialist/corporatist government but by too many sheeple who have not developed the mental faculties to realize the higher consciousness that they were born with. They have had drained from their hearts & minds through a ‘public’ education the God-given mental faculties of sentient men and women. God helps those who help themselves, and I am sure everyone who is awake has self-reflected on the decision to save themselves and their family from this man-made artificial disaster we call the STATE of California, once the Republic of California.
I wish everyone the best in the coming months and years… find internal peace and get ready to fight for what you know is righteousness over wickedness.

15. County gov’t is ticketing people for illegally parking in front of their own house during street sweeping. The situation is particularly ironic because the convoy is as follows: (1) Street sweeper unit, (2) supervisor in a white truck, and (3) Sheriff unit with overpaid deputy writing tickets every 20 seconds. These idiots drive around ticketing every person on the street.
16. Every bank in town has been stuck-up at gunpoint. No deputy around to arrest the bank robbers. Why? They’re too busy driving around in the street sweeper convoy to catch the guy robbing FIFTEEN banks in the last few months…same guy… FIFTEEN banks… DID I say that loud enough??? FIFTEEN Banks knocked over by the same guy! Nice job LEO’s…
17. CHP helps stop a Prius out of control yesterday. Maybe if the idiots in the CHP offices who were TOLD by multiple drivers over the past FIVE YEARS (YES I said FIVE YEARS) about these handling issues, then one of their OWN would still be alive!
18. Calif Assembly woman Diane Harkey and husband have been accused of a $200 Million plus ponzi scheme by residents of their own district. She’s a Republican.
19. Calif Assembly man Mike Duvall was caught on microphone admitting that he was screwing a local power company blonde lobbyist in his office. This idiot Republican was supposed to be Pro-Family.
20. Calif. Senator Ray Ashburn – Says he’s pro-family, votes against all pro-gay measures, then is arrested for drunk driving. In his car with the California Senator was a male friend who he just picked up in the gay bar where he got drunk. LOL…He’s Republican also.
21. An Escondido teenage white girl goes missing one year ago. The family search and search and search. The community police think that she “ran off”. One year later, another teen girl disappears in the same town, only she turns up dead. Now, the first girl turns up dead and the suspect in the second girl’s slaying is finally being prosecuted. It turns out that the prime suspect was a known sex offender with a violent history, let out of jail by California courts.
22. Pentagon gets shot up by a lunatic psychopath with a history of being detained under 5150 (the law which permits doctors to forcibly detain a person who is certifiably crazy against their will). Turns out California let the crazy guy out (he was from Irvine) and then he goes cross country to shoot up the Pentagon…nice job California!
23. Judge Lemkau in Victorville has a mother plead for a restraining order and judicial intervention. She is convinced that the estranged bf is going to kill her baby. The judge demands that the estranged bf be allowed to see the baby. The mother states that the bf will kill the baby. The judge calls the mother a liar. The judge orders the vistation. The estranged bf then kills the baby on visitation just as the mother said.
Any other atrocities???
My Fellow Californians…enough is enough.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about moving to Chile. I’m thinking that they are about done with the whole Earthquake thing. I’m still trying to get the wife to go along with that, but it’s not likely.
I think I’m more likely to get her to agree to escape to a nice lake near the Tennessee/N. Carolina state line.

The USA will necessarily break up, as the USSR has in turn broken up. The difference will be that for the USA it will be much more terrible. Americans should live on the money which are not present. As each American owes 43000 dollars (7 billion external debt of the USA). America is hated by all world.
