I just hope the cops don’t step on any needles. Per the breaking news on financial television and the New York Post article linked below, the park is being cleared and all tents and structures cleared. They will be allowed to return but no more camping out as 1,000 cops proceed with the great Hippieviction of the year. Of course there were anarchists and communists who resisted so there were arrests and I’m sure their will be a lot more before the morning is over.

NYPD raiders roust OWS rabble
The fliers they passed out before sending in the cops read (per the article above):
The fliers read, “The city has determined that the continued occupation of Zuccotti Park poses an increasing health and fire safety hazard to those camped in the park, the city’s first responders, and to the surrounding community.
“You are required to immediately remove all property, including tents, sleeping bags and tarps.”
UPDATE 05:25 ET per CNBC:
Only 70 arrests so far.
MY TAKE:
Thus the conclusion that the stoners are in crash mode and too wired to resists is apparently the case. Unfortunately the meth heads are fighting the eviction it would appear.
