The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), America’s real overseas intelligence analysts, created a classified report that someone in the Pentagon apparently leaked to wake some people up on Capitol Hill as this story from the Wall Street Journal outlines:
Pentagon Report Says North Korea May Have Ability to Launch Nuclear Missile
Previously, experts didn’t think Pyongyang had the expertise to build a warhead small enough to affix to a missile.
The new assessment was divulged Thursday at a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee. Rep. Doug Lamborn (R., Colo.) referred to what he said was a classified report that had unclassified conclusions.
‘”DIA assesses with moderate confidence the North currently has nuclear weapons capable of delivery by ballistic missiles,”‘ the conclusion said, according to Mr. Lamborn. ‘”However, the reliability will be low.”‘
In the story by Dion Nissenbaum linked above, it goes on to remind everyone that even though reliability is low, the risk factor of a strike against a target of interest is there. The fact that once again, false information promoted by this administration and the last one turns out to be untrue should be another wake up call for the American people. If a war breaks out this time, the ability to launch short range limited use atomic weapons against our troops and perhaps against Japan (as outlined in my article last week, If North Korea Starts a War the United States Will Lose, will result in a massive geopolitical shift in power from the West to the East, primarily into the Communist Chinese sphere.
