I guess our “allies” in Turkey no longer view our soldiers or sailors as friends to their new found Islamist Republic as this attack, which could only happen with the tacit approval of the government and Turkish intelligence services illustrates:

So just who or what is the TGB, the apparent group behind the attack since they were the group that filmed this?

For the uninitiated, here is a brief summary about the Turkey Youth Union (via Wikipedia since their homepage appears to be down now):

Youth Union of Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye Gençlik Birliği, TGB) is a Turkish far-left political, anti-government, anti-American revolutionary youth organization founded on 19 May 2006. It comprises 65 student clubs and societies from over 40 Turkish universities.

The TGB is an anarcho-communist organization that has strong beliefs in conspiracy theories about the West controlling the AKP despite the AKP opposing many Western principles and initiatives as well as the continuously deteriorating relations with Western governments at the helm of the AKP leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In reality, they probably were getting a major kudos from the Erdogan government as they wish to do what Russia is engaged in; testing Obama’s will and tolerance. By having an extremist organization initiate this attack, Erdogan gets the plausible deniability he needs for any diplomatic dispute which will do nothing more than end shore leave in Turkey with nothing more than a whimper from the White House.
