Thank you to Glenn Beck for having the balls to ask the man he once called “America’s last best hope” and exposing this fraud as just another politician.

For those of you who piled blood, sweat, tears, and fortune into this man’s campaign please explain to me the difference between Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh, and Marco Rubio?

All are apparently political opportunists, spewing lies and bullshit, and willing to do whatever it takes to retain power and profit.

Welcome to the weasel club Senator Cruz, you’re no better than the man you called a liar, Senator Mitch McCONnell from Kentucky.

Enjoy the spin gang:

UPDATE 17:20 ET –

It’s worse than I thought about Senator Cruz (via Politico):

Cruz profited off Trump well before endorsing him

(excerpt)

It took Ted Cruz four months and three weeks of “careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience” to declare publicly that he would vote for Donald Trump.

He made the decision to profit by selling his supporter list to Trump far faster than that.

Just six weeks after he dropped out – and more than a month before Cruz would dramatically snub the nominee at the Republican National Convention – the senator quietly began renting his vast donor email file to his former rival, pocketing at least tens of thousands of dollars, and more likely hundreds of thousands, that can be used to bankroll the Texan’s own political future.

Trump began paying to solicit some of Cruz’s supporters for campaign cash as early as June 17. “We need you to stand with Mr. Trump before it is too late,” read the initial Trump campaign missive. A second solicitation came the next day. Another came the day after that. All told, in the last three months Trump has emailed at least some segments of Cruz’s donor list more than 30 times.

Gee thanks Ted, that explains the spam I’ve been getting.

Why do I feel the need to bathe with a metal scrub brush after listening to Cruz?

I don’t think it will come off.

Saw the dark side of Cruz several months ago. Never had a problem with his intellect or conservative creds, just saw some character flaws that gave me concern. We just don’t seem to be able to find that one right conservative candidate.

It’s a bitter pill for Cruz to swallow, but he did need to do this. He wants to remain a force, so he does need to toe the line with his partiy’s nominee. It doesn’t help to get butt-hurt about it. Thankfully, Cruz did what he had to and will hopefully be around for many years to come. Politics is the art of the possible – and Cruz realized (quite correctly) that it would not be possible to continue to play a role unless he did his part for his party and their nominee. I am glad he decided to stay in the fight.
