Although I watched ABC’s Sunday news program and thankfully my eyes successfully stopped bleeding, the news from it I tweeted earlier is now being widely reported by the #FakeStreamMedia (from Reuters/Yahoo):
The Trump administration may no longer enforce a rule requiring individual Americans to carry health insurance or pay a penalty if they do not, a senior White House official said on Sunday
Speaking on ABC’s “This Week” program, Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president, said President Donald Trump “may stop enforcing the individual mandate.”
Separately, on CBS’ “Face the Nation” show, she reiterated Republican promises that no one would lose their health insurance under Obamacare while a replacement is being developed.
While many view this as a shot against Obama, that is an incorrect assessment. President Trump actually is warning the Republicans to quit screwing around with his nominee to HHS, Tom Price, and to stop acting tentative regarding the full repeal and replacement of the disaster known as Obamacare.
After all, President Trump has the nuclear option, not the Congress, and if he enacts it the Republicans in Congress get the blame, not President Trump. This was his one and only warning shot, so get ready for action on Price and Obamacare in weeks, not months.
