I am Taking a Hiatus and I Hope My Readers Will Understand

As my loyal readers may have noticed, I have not had much to said other than random Tweets and comments on various news blogs since last Tuesday.

Rarely if ever do I reveal my personal life to my audience or my friends other than what happened a few weeks ago with my lifelong friend Bobby and the death of his son.

Now I personally have to deal with an issue that was unforeseen as many in our nation have:  a relative with cancer.

My father has been diagnosed with a severe form of cancer with an extremely low survival rate and over the past 10 days, I have had some difficulty mentally adjusting to it. I admit it and it is not good nor am I ashamed to say so. There are many thoughts about current events, the economy, war, etc. that I wish I could share with you, but as I have said throughout my life, to my friends, employees, etc., FAMILY COMES FIRST. The world may catch fire and burn but still family will always come first.

With that, I bid you a brief farewell. I shall return at a later date maybe weeks or months from now, at this same web address, and will begin writing again. In the mean time, keep your powder dry, prepare for the worst and I do mean the worst, and understand that while Hoover can not repeat, the music might sound the same.

Until we meet again.

Au revoir,

John

    • Thank you Tim. He’s a good Christian man. And I’m still young enough to believe in miracles and old enough to pray for them.

Focus on the things that matter and family is always first.
Laugh some. Cry some. Stay strong throughout. Remember there are still miracles.
Will keep your family in prayers and refreshing this page until you come back.

    • Z, thank you also. And please, take me seriously. A Hoover moment is approaching. Things are not what they seem.
