Vladimir Putin, the former KGB singing sensation, spurned the GOP and instead has elected to run for the President of Russia once again. The full story can be found in this story from The Australian:
Putin decides to retake presidency
The crisis in Russia is more of confidence rather than a growing economic crisis as Medvedev has given the appearance of weakness on the international stage, something which is totally unacceptable to the Russian people.
On the flip side it was alleged that Senator John McCain uttered “It’s a good think he’s not running, as he is too conservative for the GOP.” Thus another potential candidate for the Republican Presidential nomination withdraws his name from the race while another RINO in the person of Tim Pawlenty decides to enter.
