Obamacare in the Year 2017

Imagine it is the year 2017 and what is left of the United States of America after the second term of the Obama regime is over plus three years of the Obamacare implementation has been completed. What would it look like?

Perhaps this report from Sky News and the Sunday London Times will provide a hint:

Doctors ‘Should Accept Pay Cut Or Be Sacked’

This chart from the article above explains the dilemma of government managed care via the United Kingdom example:

Thus destroying the theories of those pursuing a single payer, aka, socialized medicine solution to lower cost and more efficient care as President Obama has. The problem gets worse though when governments seek solutions to the very problems they create.

The headline appears to tell the story to anyone with common sense but the story linked above at Sky News has a brutal truth inside it:

Thousands of doctors and nurses may be sacked unless they agree to drastic changes to their pay and conditions as hospitals strive to make billions of pounds worth of savings, it has been claimed.

NHS bosses have suggested terminating all staff contracts and reoffering them on different terms, according to a leaked document obtained by The Sunday Times.

New terms could include pay cuts of up to 5%, an end to overtime for nights, weekends and bank holidays, and reduced holiday leave, the newspaper said.

These measures could affect up to 60,000 health professionals in the South West of England, where chief executives have acknowledged they would need to act “in unison”, the paper reports.

This is the perfect example of how the future of America will look and what will occur to those medical professionals who are stupid enough to remain U.S. citizens and not flee before December 31, 2012. Too bad most doctors and nurses failed in two key subjects during their collegiate education:

History and Economics.

Unfortunately for them, the medical profession did not exactly get a free ride in the old Soviet Union or Cuba nor will their financial futures be much brighter in the U.S.A. unless the will to reverse the pro-Marxist decision by Supreme Court Justice Roberts is reversed.

This is happening already at Williamsport Hospital in Pa. August will be the last month for overtime, the older more experienced med techs have been retiring out, they are not hiring in as many as has retired. Yeh, same story, different location. My son is a med lab scientist, he shares this with me.

My father-in-law, a healthy, active man in his early eighties has been suffering with a hernia. He resides in Ontario, Canada. He is dependent upon the Canadian single-payer healthcare system. It is now mid-July. He was diagnosed five weeks ago. His GP has been trying to set a date for surgery for over one month. He cannot even get through to speak to someone about setting a date for my father-in-law’s surgery. Once a date is set, he will most likely have to wait months.
Meanwhile, about one-half of Ontario’s budget is consumed by health care.
The story from surgeons is that they would like to perform more surgeries. They have the time. But they are kept idle because fewer surgeries are being scheduled.
Fewer operations are being scheduled because there are fewer beds for patients.
There are fewer beds for patients because after surgery, there are not enough recovery facilities. So patients must occupy hospital beds instead.
Meanwhile, with not enough beds, the backup extends to the emergency wards. There is no place for incoming. So the ambulance personnel must remain with the incoming patient until a bed is available. This can take hours. Then, there are few ambulances available for calls.
My father-in-law can have his operation in Buffalo tomorrow, probably, but Ontario Health will not pay for it.
In The U.S. we have this to look forward to if Obamacare is not stopped.
