What is Missing from the New Marine Corps Advertisement

Watch and listen carefully:

(h/t Daily Caller)

The United States flag is only displayed on fake boxes marked “AID” which is insane.

No where in the audio are the phrases “United States” or “America” or “Constitution” mentioned.

No where is the idea of defending America first put forward.

In fact, no where in the ad will one hear the terms “USMC” or “United States Marines Corps.”

Very little beyond the picture above on the AID boxes is allowed to infer that the forces pictured are those of the United States under command of the United States.

Be scared my friends, this is how the globalist military is established and begins.

Enjoy wearing your League of Nations/United Nations patches and blue helmets boys and girls.

Watch this thing carefully. At first I thought, OK, it’s the Marines charging the beach and OK, but at no time does it mention things that have been in every other ad for the Marines: Duty, Honor, Country, defending America, etc.,….instead you get a glimpse of some boxes on the back of a truck labelled “Aid” and a US flag, and all this BS about first to fight tyranny and injustice anywhere and everywhere. A vague glimpse of the stars and bar on the side of an Osprey shows these might be our boys. Otherwise it’s just a bunch of guys in camo running to die for some damn 3rd World shit hole again but not even trying to say it’s in our interests or to protect this country. And by “country” I mean the US or one of it’s allies. There isn’t a single US flag on any guy’s shoulder or on any vehicle. I know the new uniform has the flag and rank symbols on the front but would it have really hurt to have one simple, single US flag on something? Of course it would – it would dilute the real message.

It’s worse than that new Navy ad and motto about being a global force for good. I’ve had many relatives in the Marines, and they always made me proud to be related to those guys even though I could never have even come close to being one, and this ad makes me ill and sad for them. What does a Marine think of something like this in light of what is going on in the country and the world? One thing it does tell me is that as much as I love and support my daughters, as proud as they make me for wanting to enter the Air Force, I am now going to do everything I can to dissuade them from military service and it breaks my heart. But I won’t have them used like this. They love their country as I do and want to serve it – not just get benefits and free educations. Like me they would willing lay down their lives for this country but I won’t have them do it for Uganda, some ‘Stan, or any place talked about in this recruiting ad. At least, though, the Air Force ones still talk about being American but that will change, too. Still – no way, not my girls.

It’s like I’ve said before: our troops are already being used as mercenaries for every stupid little crapsack country’s problems all over the world and yet we are told we are so broke we have to cut back on defense. Our best third generation fighters are grounded and cancelled. Our troops are burning out from lack of support and clear mission goals and coming back to what? A country circling the drain financially, morally, ethically, and politically. And now our elite force that has always been the ones who were the first ones to defend this country here and abroad are just being used as another brand of contract mercenaries. Delivering “aid”. Goddammit that’s what the useless UN troops are for! Not our guys! Subtle stuff maybe, maybe, but it’s there…the message is there and played enough and supported by similar ads and messages it will gradually become the norm an before you know it “Semper Fi” will be redefined in the NewSpeak dictionary as “Always faithful to the defending the world’s needs.”.

And then what happens if the UN decides the (at some future time because unfortunately it sure won’t be this one) the sitting president needs to go like it (and our current president) has decided others have to go recently during this “Arab Spring” nonsense? Will the Marines be our Marines and defend the country? Or will what has always been the presidential honor guard, charged with protecting the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic be forced to act like the Roman Praetorian Guard and turn on the government in order to have the UN decide who should replace our’s? Why not? The precedent has been established and it continues to be with all this furor over Syria and Uganda. What would happen if we got someone in office who actually tried to seriously enforce our borders, our trade protections, and tell the world that we won’t be the world police anymore until we get our own priorities fixed?

Now the usual response will be, “Oh Scotty’s just paranoid and spends too much time on conspiracy theories. There’s no global government coming, no FEMA camps, no plot to take away our rights and sovereignty, no one wants to take away the guns, no one is tampering with the vote, the economy is improving and unemployment under control……” I imagine the same words were said about every other Cassandra from Troy to Berlin, from Moscow to Vietnam to Cuba. So I’ll just keep trying to warn everyone about Greeks bearing gifts and you can all just keep laughing at it. But I hope you’re right and I’m wrong. I really do. But I think it’s too late and the horse is rolling in now. I’m not even going to bother praying for this country anymore since the mass majority seems hellbent on letting it fall apart – I’m just concerned for my family and friends. And most of them think I”m nuts, too. But like I’ve said, I’ve seen this movie before – this one’s more subtle and taking longer, but that’s because information is harder to control now – no more Iron Curtains…but it’ll come.

Very unsettling. It’s like this Uganda thing – that’s been going on for over 20 years so what’s big deal now? And then here is this add showing our guys heading into a shitstorm in what obviously is some African or Middle Eastern place to silence tyranny. Its all very wag-the-doggy as a timely ad. It works on a subliminal level for just about anything our troops are currently sent off to do. Maybe I shouldn’t worry until they start showing them back in green uniforms heading into a midwestern-looking place shooting at white people.

Here’s what else bugs me about this ad:
    1) Notice at the beginning that when we first see that burning whatever it is the voices in the background are largely screams and such, but twice you can clearly hear “help” being said. Not exactly sure why but that creeps me out a little. Makes it look too movie-like I think. Or maybe it’s just some CNN journalist-”heroes” crying for their momma’s and Obama to save them. It works on a subliminal level, though, for the mindless sheep we call citizens, though.

    2) Notice how little we see of the faces of the troops. Always before a Marine ad emphasized the individual and showed clearly the person’s face. It’s part of the Marine thing – the “Few” the whole hero-journey thing shown and talked about in ads about the trials to become a US Marine and how it is transfiguring to the recruit. Yes, he/she is joining a group larger than himself, but the emphasis is on how that individual overcame their own perceived weaknesses to become ONE of the Few and the Proud. This ad emphasizes a faceless machine sent to do whatever it’s owner tells it to. Faceless cogs that can easily be replaced and cogs can’t be heroes. And that brings me to this:

    3) Faceless cogs in a faceless machine have no loyalty and what kind of oath would work for them? What code of ethical behavior as a combatant? Instead of the Constitution do they owe fealty to, well, who? By implication the US military owes it’s loyalty to the American people since the government put in place by the civilians is their command authority. But this ad heads towards something a lot more fuzzy and maybe that’s why there isn’t anything in it at all (other than those “aid” boxes) about America or our flag.
