The news of the last forty-eight hours out of Afghanistan has been nothing short of a complete disaster. First this story from Wired.com’s “Danger Room” section outlining the story, a repeat basically of what the Obama said in June of this year, where they wished to embrace the idea of a negotiated settlement with the Taliban (see: U.S. Prepares to Talk to Taliban It Wanted to ‘Destroy’). Of course the idea of talks and CIA/Pentagon bullcrap was fogged by a Taliban Tet Offensive marked with a start on Saturday by a truck bomb attack which wounded 77 U.S. soldiers.
Fast forward to this morning where Taliban terrorists launched a series of attacks inside of Kabul using small arms, mortars, RPGs, and suicide bombers hitting numerous targets in the capital city of Kabul and resulting in some interesting combat footage courtesy of the ISAF via YouTube inside the city:
Thus once again, the inconsistent and idiotic policies first initiated in Afghanistan by Lyndon Baines Bush have been continued with little to show for it other than body bags full of U.S. troopers and permanently handicapped soldiers who did their duty only to be crapped on by the nation that sent them into a war where they were not allowed to win.
Get our boys home ALIVE and just zap the buggers from the air.
Now.
