America is Becoming a 3rd World Transportation Nightmare (Videos)

The story starts this morning with Secretary “Give me leather like Brinton” Pete is missing in action when the antiquated FAA system crashed and NOTAMS (Notice to Air Mission System) could not be issued to pilots around the nation. Thus a ground halt was ordered which prevented departures for several hours. From the FAA website:

FAA STATEMENT 0850 EST

Normal air traffic operations are resuming gradually across the United States following an overnight outage to the FAA’s Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system that provides safety information to flight crews. The ground stop has been lifted.

The agency continues to look into the cause of the initial problem.

Nice. The US has already experienced a massive nightmare during the Christmas season thanks to Southwest Airlines ancient systems and the lack of sufficient staffing thanks to the clot shot being made mandatory by the government and now this.

But wait, there’s more.

The problem with America’s freight and passenger train systems are just now starting to make it into the mainstream news. Today, Amtrak made the news after leaving passengers stranded in the woods for almost 29 hours (per some reports):

ABC posted the full story and accidentally released some real news which highlighted which caused some of the problem (bold lettering is for my emphasis):

The Amtrak Auto Train train, which departed Lorton, Virginia, at 5 p.m. Monday, was initially scheduled to arrive in Sanford, Florida, by 10 a.m. Tuesday. Only a few certified crews are able to operate the Auto Train, which carries passengers and their vehicles daily between the two destinations.

The CSX freight train collided with an unoccupied vehicle on the tracks in Lake City, South Carolina, shortly before 11 p.m. Monday, CSX said in a statement. No injuries were reported.

Auto Train service on Tuesday was canceled, while Silver Meteor and Silver Star trains that departed on Monday are operating on a detour and missing stops due to the derailment, Amtrak said.

Way, way, way back in December, Senile Joe, Amtrak’s best passenger asked the Pelosi House of Representatives to impose a settlement on all of the railroad workers. And so they did with RINO help and thus the mess we witnessed here is just the tip of the iceberg. Since only a few certified crews can do this particular route, when the engineer’s hours of service are up, they have to stop or the government penalizes them.

Yet the government also had to get involved in another situation with Union Pacific also. From FoodProcessing.com:

Foster Farms: Union Pacific Service Disruptions Could Mean Death for Millions of Chickens

Excerpt:

Tension is mounting between Foster Farms and Union Pacific following the poultry farm’s repeated requests for UP to deliver livestock feed to its Traver, Turlock, and Delhi facilities in California. On December 29, 2022, Foster Farms filed a petition for emergency service with the U.S. Surface Transportation Board (STB) to help prevent losing millions of its chickens due to ‘continued deterioration’ in rail service from Union Pacific.

The STB, which regulates and decides disputes involving railroads, issued an emergency order on January 3 ordering UP to deliver animal feed to Foster Farms in order to avert a potential significant loss of livestock in California.

This wasn’t the first time the California-based Foster Farms asked for intervention. In June, the company filed a petition with the STB after it had experienced delays in feed shipments and nearly had to euthanize millions of birds because of it. According to the petition, 100-car deliveries of corn — which is used not only for chicken feed but also as corn feed for hundreds of dairy farms — weren’t showing up.

This is beginning to sound more and more like a certain book this author is quite familiar with.

Sadly, the derailment story in America is also becoming commonplace.

I could keep posting on and on, but I think my readers get the idea. We are now living the second half of the book Atlas Shrugged. Buckle up, the trajectory gets pretty ugly in the very last chapters if John Galt does not actually show up to save our society.
