There are great songs in American history then there are those that resonate since the 1980s forever.
Unfortunately for precious and industrial metals investors, the bad case of loving you took a shot of pain this week as President Instability changed his minds killing copper producers who were told to “make their products in the US or else” and then reversed after all the technogeeks whined like the little bitches that they are.
After that betrayal, a lot of copper producers are going to have second thoughts about breaking ground on new mines or factories because who knows what financial tribute they will have to pay to the regime to do business beyond 2028 in the US.
This insanity has apparently stabilized for the moment but with an over 20% decline in two days one has to ask the big question:
Is there a bigger economic question that Doctor Copper is trying to warn the markets about?
The next 90 days will indeed provide a diagnosis, perhaps one the masses do not want to hear.
