Way back in the 1970’s he came out with a smash hit, which actually was one of the rare times a song was converted into a movie believe it or not:

One realizes that they are getting old when you’re old enough to recall seeing old CW live in concert in a honky tonk outside of Lebanon, TN way back in the early 1980’s.
Getting old sucks.
