The Only Video You Need to See Today (NSFW)

For my long time readers, my posting this is not a surprise. The shocked look on Andrew Ross Sorkin’s face would normally be enough to just say “enjoy” this video on its own, but there is some background to why I am posting this today.

Many years ago when this website had many more views and follows, I used the Google Ads feature to attempt to ad a revenue stream to cover the costs. I was thinking, foolishly like many others, that I could blog my way into an alternative career. One day I posted up one of my “Prepetorials” and got a notification from Google that it contained “offensive content” and I would not see ads on my pages until this posting was removed.

At that point, I said screw you. No one is going to tell me what I can and can not say and that is why this conservative libertarian does not respect anyone who attempts to dictate my free speech rights.

Yesterday during the New York Times Dealbook conference, Elon Musk the colorful owner (note that word) of Twitter, now known as ‘X’ answered the question about free speech in his own unique style:

Thank you @damonimani for the brilliant, succinct editing with the fantastic touch of sarcasm with visual effects.

Elon is right. If a company is uncomfortable about the postings on a social media site, simply cancel the advertising contract. Do not make a big virtue signaling show about it, and phase it out. Instead numerous corporations decided to go the “me too” route claiming absurd nonsense because of a “re-Tweet” by Elon which was not anti-Semitic nor a statement against Israel or the Jewish people.

Mr. Musk has every right to tell these snowflake hypocrite corporations who would buy advertising on the t-shirts of slave laborers in shithole nations if they thought it would increase sales by 0.1% to go piss off.

Thank you Mr. Musk, it needed to be said. It’s your company, not theirs and hopefully X becomes the media juggernaut that you desire.
